The Scottish Textile & Leather Association (STLA) with the support of Zero Waste Scotland (ZWS) are proud to present ‘Sharing Operational Excellence’ their first day-long event dedicated solely to Scottish textile manufacturers. The event will provide attendees with the opportunity to benefit from the sharing of knowledge from other textile manufacturers, learning of their business improvements, cost savings and benefits and also providing you with an opportunity to network with your peers.
Taking place at the Stirling Management Centre, University of Stirling on the 27th February 2014, this one off subsidised event will cover subjects crucial to the continued success of textile manufacturing including;
- Inventory management
- Continuous improvement – Lean manufacturing
- Managing seasonality in textiles
- Modern Apprenticeships – how they can work for your business
- Innovation & sustainable manufacturing
- Innovative business models
- Resource efficiency & public sector funding
Non-competitive areas of business have been carefully selected to allow full and frank discussions between textile manufacturing companies. Public sector organisations will be on site to discuss potential resources and opportunities of financial support and guidance to maximise business efficiencies.
This event would be of benefit to managing directors, production managers and supervisors alike. Attendees can expect a day of presentations, Q&A sessions, workshops and discussions with a break for a networking lunch. The day will be professionally facilitated to ensure optimum participation and return for attending.
This event is great value for money and is a must for any manufacturer looking to improve their manufacturing operations in 2014.
